Andrew Robert Likoudis

Andrew Likoudis is a Catholic scholar, editor, and consultant whose interdisciplinary work spans ecclesiology, ecumenism, institutional strategy, and Catholic public life. He serves as Digital Editor of Where Peter Is. His research and writing address the intersection of tradition and reform in the contemporary Church.

His major scholarly project is Faith in Crisis: Critical Dialogues in Catholic Traditionalism, Church Authority, and Reform—a 40-chapter volume he organized and edited, coordinating 30+ contributors across three continents. The work features chapters by Robert Cardinal Sarah, Mike Aquilina, Jimmy Akin, Timothy O'Malley, Rafael Luciani, and other leading theologians, with endorsements from Odilo Scherer, Cardinal Archbishop of São Paulo, Brazil, and Rodrigo Guerra, Secretary of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America. It carries an imprimatur from Archbishop William E. Lori. The book has been featured at Where Peter Is, Catholic Culture, and the Word on Fire Institute's journal Evangelization & Culture.

He has authored, edited, or compiled twelve volumes on Catholic ecclesiology and the papacy.

His recent editorial work includes the fiftieth-anniversary edition of Yves Congar's Challenge to the Church: The Case of Archbishop Lefebvre (En Route Books, 2026), which he edited and introduced, with a foreword by Larry Chapp, a translation by Paul Inwood, and an afterword by Andrew Mioni—the first English edition of Congar's answer to the Lefèbvre crisis, published as Écône again proceeds to illicit episcopal consecrations.

He also prepared the third edition of James Likoudis's Ending the Byzantine Greek Schism (Emmaus Road / St. Paul Center, 2026), with a foreword by Scott Hahn—the first book of his grandfather's trilogy on Catholic-Orthodox reunion, now substantially revised and expanded.

As founder and chairman of the Likoudis Legacy Foundation, he built a 501(c)(3) research institute from the ground up—establishing governance structures, recruiting a distinguished advisory council of theologians and scholars, launching a fellows program, founding The Kydones Review, a peer-reviewed journal of which he serves as editor-in-chief, and establishing the LLF Reading Circle, a guided reading program led by Lizbeth Moncada Sandoval on classic and contemporary works in Catholic ecclesiology and ecumenism.

With the Orientale Lumen Foundation, he is co-founding the Orientale Lumen Institute to offer an accredited online graduate degree in ecumenism, as well as certificates and diplomas for clergy, religious, and laypeople engaged in Catholic-Orthodox dialogue. The two organizations are also co-sponsoring the Orientale Lumen Conference in Washington, DC from July 13–15, 2026, gathering Catholic and Orthodox bishops, theologians, and lay scholars for three days of dialogue toward Christian unity. Confirmed participants include Cardinal Seán O'Malley OFM Cap., Archbishop Flavio Pace of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, and Metropolitan Job of Pisidia of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, with the gathering structured to support a joint statement of common commitment from its participants.

His institutional experience includes three years on the Archdiocesan Lay Pastoral Council of Baltimore—the young adult representative on a 14-member council—one of four at-large, archdiocese-wide appointments—advising on institutional restructuring, strategic planning, and youth engagement. He has also supported a $5 million capital campaign at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, completed McKinsey and Co.'s Forward program (Oct.–Dec. 2025), held a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses fellowship developing marketing strategy and client acquisition for a government contracting firm, and held a Johns Hopkins University fellowship producing policy memos and procurement research for a Bloomberg Philanthropies–backed workforce development initiative, in collaboration with Julep Consulting.

His communications work includes 50+ published articles in major Catholic outlets: the National Catholic Register, Where Peter Is, Philosophy Now, and EWTN News. He has conducted exclusive interviews with Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone and provided coverage of the USCCB General Assembly.

He has also begun assisting the Benedict XVI Institute, founded by Abp. Cordileone, in its work for liturgical renewal. This work builds on his writing on liturgy, which has addressed posture at Communion, sacred music, and the history of the post-conciliar reform.

Andrew is a dedicated parishioner at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary—America's First Cathedral—where he worked with the rector to obtain first-class relics of Pope Saint John Paul II from Rome and Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta from the Missionaries of Charity, for the Basilica's perpetual adoration chapel and its street-mission program, Source of All Hope. He previously served as an altar server, lector, and member of the polyphony and Gregorian chant schola cantorum, and has also sung with the Gregorian chant schola at the National Shrine of St. Alphonsus.

Beyond the academy, Andrew draws on a decade of hospitality experience—a vocation the Scriptures count among the charisms (Rom 12:13; Heb 13:2). He has welcomed hundreds of guests as an Airbnb Superhost and served at Charleston, one of OpenTable's Top 10 restaurants in America. He enjoys kayaking, bachata, and chess.
